Marc: How to Wear - Man Skirts -

Man skirts: a trend that has been around for some time
without, however, being widely adopted.
Where should the line between masculine and feminine clothing be drawn
(if such gender distinction is to be made at all)?
Looking at how aesthetically appealing Marc Jacobs and these guys are,
we think skirts are for men too, no doubt about this.
What do you say?
Should and will man skirts become part of mainstream fashion?

If the guy who's wearing the skirt likes it it should be accepted, why should we put limits in our creativity?:o

I am a male a regularly wear skirts. A skirted garment is the most comfortable and healthiest garment for a man to wear. If women can have the option to wear pants and other men’s clothing in a feminine way, then there is no reason why men cannot have a masculine option in skirts. It is time that we do away with the prejudices toward men in fashion just like it was done away with for women 50 years ago. Do we think that because women can wear pants that the rule only can apply to women and not men. Men have worn skirts for thousands of years and it was always seen as masculine and today in most cultures outside the west, the skirt is a men’s garment. Men can and do look masculine in a skirt made and designed for men.

The subject of clothing and gender is very seriously misunderstood on the part of most people. For a historical review, see free access pdf file at www.dfwseekwoman.net---a site with nothing to sell.
