Photographers: Philip Townsend

Philip Townsend the photographer of the sixties.
Quite literally, since he started taking pictures in the 1960s
and decided to stop just about ten years later.
During his highly celebrated career Townsend captured the most iconic images of the decade shooting pictures of, as his biography reads, "all the prime people of the time, beautiful and ugly alike: the debs and their beaux, louche lords and club owners, press barons and business moguls, stars and socialites, artists and creatives, royals and ruffians, and above all the new aristocrats of pop and rock, spearheaded by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones."
His pictures are so evocative so .....can really experience the sixties
and feel like you were there!

Last Summer, in Carnaby Street, at the Sorry you missed the 60s exhibition
we had the chance to meet Philip Townsend and getting the prints of his pictures signed by him :)
L'estate scorsa, in Carnaby Street, in occasione della mostra fotografica
Sorry you missed the 60s
