Les Amours Imaginaires (2010)

Les Amours Imaginaires, translated in English as Heartbeats, 

is the latest film from French Canadian enfant prodige Xavier Dolan 

(at 19 he had already won three awards at Cannes Film Festival).

The  plot is simple: two friends, played by Monia Chokri and Dolan himself, 

meet beautiful Nic (Niels Schneider) 

and become helplessy fascinated and infatuated with him.

While both are led to believe Nic's interest goes beyond friendship, 

their love stories will only be imaginary ones.

Speaking from an aesthetic perspective 

Les Amours Imaginaires is exquisitely beautiful. 

Every detail and every shot is just pure pleasure for the eye.

Les Amours Imaginaires, tradotto in inglese come Heartbeats, 

è l'ultimo film dell'enfant  prodige franco-canadese Xavier Dolan 

(vincitore già a 19 anni di tre premi al Festival del Cinema di Cannes).

La trama è semplice: due amici, interpretati da Monia Chokri e Dolan stesso, 

incontrano il bellissimo Nic (Niels Schneider) 

e ne rimangono disperatamente affascinati.

Anche se entrambi vedono da parte di Nic un interesse che va oltre l'amicizia, 

le loro storie d'amore si riveleranno solo immaginarie.

Parlando da un punto di vista estetico,  

Les Amours Imaginaires è squisitamente bello. 

Ogni dettaglio e ogni ripresa sono un puro piacere per l'occhio.
