LFW Autumn - Winter 2012: Elisa Palomino

Who: Elisa Palomino, Spanish designer. Before launching her own line she worked for Moschino, John Galliano (for 8 years as Head of the Studio), Christian Dior, Roberto Cavalli and Diane Von Furstenberg.

What:  "Crystal Flowers". A collection inspired by early-modernist, designer, painter and poet Florine Stettheimer. An explosion of exotic flowers and vibrant colours.  Fuchsia gowns made of velvet, silk and chiffon, bright orange feathers, and fluorescent purple wigs. A celebration of the independent, eccentric, but still elegant woman. 

Interesting Fact: Every seated guest received a tiny (and cute) perfume bottle with one of the two "utterly decadent" fragrances created for the collection: Forbidden (brave and adventurous) and Rendez-Vous (warm and romantic).

Chi: Elisa Palomino, designer spagnola. Prima di lanciare la propria linea, Elisa ha lavorato per Moschino, John Galliano (per 8 anni come Head of the Studio), Christian Dior, Roberto Cavalli e Diane Von Furstenberg.

Cosa: "Crystal Flowers". Una collezione ispirata dalla designer, pittrice e poetessa del primo modernismo Florine Stettheimer. Un'eplosione di fiori esotici e colori intensi. Abiti fucsia in velluto, seta e chiffon, piume arancione sgargiante e parrucche color viola vivace. Una celebrazione della donna indipendente, eccentrica, ma sempre elegante.

Curiosità: Ogni ospite ha trovato, arrivando, una minuscola (e graziosissima) boccetta di profumo contenente una delle due fragranze 'estremamente decadenti' create per la collezione: Forbidden (audace e avventurosa) e Rendez-Vous (calda e romantica).

 Flapper dresses, shiny accessories, à-la-garçonne hair and red lips ruled the catwalks of Spring -Summer 2012!

The Great Gatsby is making his return too, with the upcoming film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. 

Our illustration portrays Anthony and Gloria, the protagonists of The Beautiful and Damned by Fitzgerald.

Who: Mattijs van Bergen

What:  Starburst. A collection for the sci-fi lovers. Dreamy dresses mixed with military severity.

Black leather, gold foil, oceanic blues and metal cuffs and chokers.

Interesting Fact: The Star Wars inspiration was not merely hinted at. The Imperial March from Star Wars (intermixed with Lana Del Rey) played while the models walked the runway.

Chi: Mattijs van Bergen

Cosa: Starburst. Una collezione per gli amanti della fantascienza. Abiti da sogno uniti a rigore militare. Pelle nera, lamina d'oro, toni di blu oceano e collane e bracciali in metallo.

Curiosità: ll collegamento con Star Wars non era velato, infatti la Marcia Imperiale (intervallata da Lana Del Rey) faceva da colonna sonora alle modelle in passerella.

 

STORM Breakfast S/S 2012

Yesterday we attended the STORM breakfast presenting the new S/S 2012 collection.

We spent an amazing morning looking at the stylish and unique watches, jewellery, bags and beauty products, and enjoyed the delicious food offered at the Sanderson Hotel. 

We can't deny we also loved the goodie bags contaning a lovely vintage-inspired watch, a fragrance beauty set  and a bottle of heaven-smelling pink body lotion :)

The new STORM collection also includes chic watches perfect for this spring embracing the colour blocking and the pastel trends. 

You can see in our illustration the new circular two-tone Kelli. 

Ieri abbiamo partecipato alla colazione esclusiva organizzata da STORM, dove veniva presentata la nuova collezione S/S 2012.

Abbiamo trascorso una deliziosa mattinata tra i loro bellissimi orologi, tra gioielli, borse e profumi, e gustato il brunch offerto al Sanderson Hotel. 

Non possiamo negare di aver apprezzato anche le ricchissime goodie bag contententi orologi di ispirazione vintage, beauty set con profumo e gel doccia e creme rosa al profumo di paradiso :)

La nuova collezione STORM include anche orologi molto chic e perfetti per questa primavera, che riprendono i trend del colour block e dei colori pastello. 

Quello nella nostra illustrazione è l'orologio Kelli, in due toni e forma ovale. 

Illustrated Moodboard doll x Fulana, Beltrana, Sicrana made by Bene

Thanks to Bene (Fulana, Beltrana Sicrana), Illustrated Moodboard has now a real doll too. 

It's so exciting to see one of our illustrations become "alive"! 

And the doll is adorable :) 

This is the prototype drawn by us that served as inspiration to Bene. 

Grazie a Bene (Fulana, Beltrana Sicrana), ora Illustrated Moodboard ha anche una bambola. 

E' bellissimo vedere una delle nostre illustrazioni prendere vita.

LFW Autumn - Winter 2012: Corrie Nielsen

Who: Corrie Nielsen

What:  Vestiarium Scoticum. Inspired by her Scottish heritage, Corrie Nielsen creates sculptural and   theatrical pieces. Traditional tartan and classic tailoring meet innovative shapes and details.

Interesting Fact: Corrie also collaborated with the luxury gelateria Scoop to design her own ice cream flavour. Extra dark chocolate with a hint of orange bossom from Paris.

Chi: Corrie Nielsen

Cosa: Vestiarium Scoticum. Traendo ispirazione dalla cultura dei suoi antenati scozzesi, Corrie Nielsen crea capi teatrali e scultorei. Tartan tradizionale e sartoria classica si uniscono a forme e dettagli innovativi.

Curiosità: Corrie ha anche collaborato con la gelateria di lusso Scoop ideando un nuovo gusto di gelato: il Corrie Nielsen. Cioccolato extra amaro con un accenno di fiori d'arancio da Parigi.
