Random Pattern Nails DIY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 

A choice of bright coloured of nail polishes + a darker one

A clear nail polish 

Adhesive tape

Scissors

STEP 1. 

Pick the lightest colour and paint all your nails. 

STEP 2. 

Add colourful stripes (as many as you want)

STEP 3. 

Place two or three thin stripes of tape on each nail. 

STEP 4-5.

Paint over the whole nail and over the tape with a darker colour of nail polish. 

STEP 6. 

Remove the tape carefully. 

STEP 7. 

Don't forget to finish off with a clear top coat.

Voila! You're done! :)

Un top coat trasparente
Nastro adesivo
Forbici

STEP 1. 

Scegliete il colore più chiaro e dipingete tutte le unghie. 

STEP 2. 

Con gli altri due colori disegnate strisce verticali su ogni unghia.

STEP 3. 

Posizionate due o tre striscioline di nastro adesivo su ogni unghia. 

STEP 4-5.

Dipingete di nuovo sopra tutta l'unghia (e sopra al nastro adesivo) con il colore più scuro. 

STEP 6. 

Togliete le striscioline facendo attenzione a non "strappare" via anche il colore.  

STEP 7. 

Non dimenticatevi di completare l'opera con un top coat trasparente. 

Voila! Finito! :)

London Fashion Week: Nova Chiu S/S 2013 - Bon Voyage

On the last day of LFW we attended the Nova Chiu show at the Freemasons Hall, home of new Birtish and international talent.

We thought we knew what to expect, since we had the pleasure to see her last collection when it was showcased as part of the Ones to Watch show.

However, Bon Voyage really left us impressed. 

A short presentation of clips from various journeys opened the show, setting the tone.

Bon Voyage in fact features colourful and kaleidoscopic landscape prints coming from photographs that Nova and her boyfriend Jeff Archer took during their trips together.

Digitally-printed rivers, roads, trees, mountains, waterfalls and open skies decorate loose dresses and beautiful tailored pieces.

Wanderlust has never looked so good!

L'ultimo giorno di LFW abbiamo assistito alla sfilata di Nova Chiu, tenutasi alla Freemasons Hall, casa dei migliori talenti emergenti britannici e internazionali.

Sapevamo cosa aspettarci, dato che avevamo già avuto il piacere di ammirare il suo lavoro durante lo show dei Ones to Watch la scorsa stagione.

Ciò nonostante, Bon Voyage non ha mancato di impressionarci positivamente.

La sfilata è cominciata con la presentazione di clip di viaggi che hanno introdotto perfettamente l'atmosfera.

Le stampe colorate e dagli effetti caleidoscopici che caratterizzano Bon Voyage infatti sono tratte dalle fotografie che Nova e il suo partner Jeff Archer hanno scattato durante i loro viaggi insieme.

Panorami con fiumi, strade, alberi, montagne, cascate e cieli aperti donano carattere ad abiti dalle forme morbide e pezzi di sartoria.

Who: Bora Aksu

What: Regal silhouettes, vibrant mustards, dove greys, purples and blues. This collection takes inspiration from Marie, born English princess, destined to become a Romanian queen.

Who: Jenny Holmes and Dimitris Theocharidis. They are from England and Greece respectively and both graduated from London College of Fashion. In 2009 they won the prestigious Fashion Fringe award.

What:  Hell's Angel. “The SS13 Jena.Theo collection addresses the true Jena.Theo woman, strong and assertive. Darkly beautiful and formidably alluring. Combining striking architectural silhouettes with the hand rendered tattoo print and abstract work of the artist O.Two”. The  ensemble of materials and the colouring evokes elements of the natural world: organza, leather, wood, denim, glass, denim, in shades of white, nude, tangerine, citrus and browns.
