Last Tuesday we had the pleasure to attend to the British Fashion Awards 2012 ceremony at the Savoy Theatre, London.
The British Fashion Awards are basically the Oscars of fashion and one of fashion's biggest events.
The ceremony started a bit late but we had our heavy goodie bags, Godiva chocolates and champagne glasses to keep us entertained :)
Hosted by Gemma Arterton and Nick Grimshaw the ceremony celebrated the nation's most influent personalities in the fashion industry.
The winners were presented by various British and non-British celebrities like Valentino (who mispronounced Alexa Chung's name! :D), the Hollywood actress Salma Hayek, Princess Beatrice of York, Lily Cooper, Pixie Geldof, The Rolling Stone's Ronnie Wood and others.
As we expected, Stella McCartney (who created the Team GB olympic outfits) was named Designer of the Year!
The ceremony was closed by a live performance by the lovely British singer Rita Ora.

Martedi' scorso abbiamo avuto il piacere di assistere alla cerimonia dei British Fashion Awards 2012 al Savoy Theatre di Londra.
I British Fashion Awards corrispondono agli Oscar nella moda e sono sicuramente uno dei più grandi eventi del settore.
La cerimonia è iniziata con un po' di ritardo, ma, per fortuna. avevamo le nostre pesanti goodie bag, cioccolatini Godiva e bicchieri di Champagne a tenerci compagnia :)
Presentata da Gemma Arterton e Nick Grimshaw, la serata ha celebrato le personalità più influenti della nazione nell'industria della moda.
I vincitori sono stati presentati da diverse celebrità, britanniche e non, come Valentino (che ha sbagliato a pronunciare il nome di Alexa Chung! :D), l'attrice di Hollywood Salma Hayek, la Principessa Beatrice di York, la futura mamma Lily Cooper, Pixie Geldof, Ronnie Wood dei The Rolling Stones, e altri.
Come ci aspettavamo, Stella McCartney (creatrice degli outfit olimpici del Team GB) è stata nominata Designer dell'anno!
La cerimonia si è chiusa con una performance live della cantante britannica Rita Ora.
