Festival: Standon Calling 2013

This year's Standon Calling festival has been arguably one of the best events of the season in the UK.

With more than 5,000 guests, huge musical talent, arts and crafts, a swimming pool, brilliant costumes and the beautiful location, Standon Calling 2013 didn't fail to impress!

Finding something tasty to eat and refreshing to drink, or just a place to cool off wasn't an issue at all. The choice of food stalls, activity stalls and small vintage shops was wide and varied. And with a pomgranate, apple and elderflower juice in hand, music sounds even better!

Musically, there was to much to enjoy. The main stage was bursting with energy and fun, and De La Soul, Vardo and the Boss, and London Afrobeat Collective were only a few of the artists that kept us dancing all day.

Did we mention how friendly, creative and intimate the atmosphere was?

Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to try the camping experience, we'll make sure not to miss it next year!

Lo Standon Calling festival di quest'anno è stato uno degli eventi migliori della stagione estiva nel Regno Unito.

Con più di 5,000 ospiti, grandissimo talento musicale, arts and crafts, una piscina azzurrissima, travestimenti originali, una location stupenda, lo Standon Calling 2013 non ha certamente deluso le aspettative!

Trovare qualcosa di buono da mangiare o di rinfrescante da bere o solo un posto dove riposarsi un po', non è stato un problema. La scelta di stand con cibo, attività ricreative e negozietti vintage era ampia e varia. E con un succo di malagrana, mela e elderflower in mano la musica era ancora più piacevole da ascoltare!

Anche musicalmente, c'era tantissimo da apprezzare. Il main stage brillava di energia e divertimento, e De La Soul, Vardo and the Boss and London Afrobeat Collective solo alcuni dei nomi degli artisti che ci hanno fatto ballare tutto il giorno. 

Vi abbiamo già detto quanto era amichevole, creativa e intima l'atmosfera? Una cosa di cui non tutti i festival possono vantare. 

Purtroppo non abbiamo avuto l'occasione di provare il camping, ma faremo in modo che non succeda anche l'anno prossimo!
